Could Huntington be right? If he was, has he really foreseen a clash between civilizations or did he want a clash to take place? Why would he want a clash between different cultures?

These questions may sound silly, but some fellas in Denmark and other European countries believed him and has been trying to create the tension needed to have a nice clash between Western world and Islamic world…yes I am talking about the derogatory cartoons of Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) depicted by aforementioned fellas.
What was the motive behind the publishing of the caricatures? Someone has to explain explicitly, because “freedom of speech/press” cannot be the reason. Here is why I think it has to do with a hidden political agenda, rather then freedom of speech…
First of all, there is no incident to draw these satirical cartoons of Him (pbuh), Danish fellas decided to depict Him (pbuh) out of the blue sky.
Second of all, He (pbuh) is depicted as if he’d incentivised the suicide bombers to attack people. This may seem to be a good way of justifying it… but anyone who is familiar with the tradition of the Prophet (pbuh) and the Qur’an knows that there is not even a single bit of evidence to back that stupidity up. He never killed an innocent man/woman nor did he ever allow his companions to kill someone who has nothing to do with them. Even when in a battle, he forbade his solders to kill elderly, women and children. He ordered his solders not to waste plants and cut down the trees within the battle field… these facts can be found in any authentic hadith book.
Did these guys bother to consult with a Muslim scholar or a scholar of any religion?
Did they bother to check out the holy texts of Islam and see what it has to say about killings of innocent people?
If they did not, what is the motive? This, still, is the most important question..
Did the newspapers publish these cartoons in order to appeal to those who are not happy about the existence of Muslims in Europe?
A good provocative intention is obvious… and unfortunately it has been successful…
we as Muslims should be really patient and think calmly. Last thing we want is a world war. Because ours is a faith of peace, no matter what some lunatics do in the name of it…
